There's just something about putting your faith into tangible service and action that makes it grow - that stretches God's people to understand that the Good News of Jesus Christ isn't just something we learn about. It is something we express with our hands, feet, and hearts!
The book of James says, "...don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. (James 1: 22-24)
Service reminds us of who we are. It disciplines mind and body. Service takes knowledge of the good works modeled by Jesus and turns it into lifestyle. Service is the natural fruit of a soul planted in the good soil of God. That is why it is a cruicial part of growth as a believer.
At F1Naz, we seek to provide opportunities to serve both our surrounding community and the world around us. Whether it is our Summer Backpack and School Supplies Drive, continued support of global mission work, or even putting together the resources to build wells in Africa, we're always looking to serve when possible. Our members are encouraged to find a place to serve within the church and to bring new service ideas for the communuity to light. A thriving church is a serving church, and that is exactly what we strive to be at F1Naz.
If you have interest in service or ideas for how F1Naz can get involved in a local service project, please e-mail us at Office@f1naz.com.
